FRANCES HLADON, 91



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Matthias Church for Frances Hladon, 91, of 1507 Canfield Road, formerly of Cornell Avenue, who died Friday morning at home.
Mrs. Hladon was born Jan. 26, 1910, in Czechoslovakia, a daughter of Martin and Sofia Slavkovska Dickey, and came to the United States and Youngstown in 1929.
She was a homemaker and a member of the church and its Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, Sacred Heart and Rosary Society and Golden Echoes Club. She was also a member of Lansingville Ladies Political Club and the Slovak Cultural Association.
Her husband, Michael J., whom she married Feb. 12, 1934, died Feb. 25, 1992.
She leaves a son, William of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Nancy Novotny of Youngstown, with whom she made her home; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Margaret Turacek, is deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a prayer service will be conducted by the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild at 3:45 p.m.
