WILLIAM TAYLOR, 81



WARREN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home for William Taylor, 81, of 1304 Parkman Road N.W., who died of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon in St. Joseph Health Center.
Mr. Taylor was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Sterling, Ohio, a son of Amos H. and Elizabeth Taylor, and came to the area in April 1966.
He was a custodian for Warren Western Reserve High School for 10 years and also worked for S.A. Barnes for 12 years.
Before that, he retired from the Air Force in 1966 as senior master sergeant after serving 28 years. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II and in the Air Force in the Korean War.
He was a member of VFW Post 1090, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 8 and Moose Lodge 186.
His wife, the former Esther Zerfose, whom he married July 11, 1945, died Sept. 16, 1999.
He leaves a son, William E. of Warren; two daughters, Penny Brooks of Greenville, S.C., and Debra Taylor of Warren; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and seven sisters are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeast Ohio.
