NELL R. SUMMERS, 87 Owned kennel, headed kennel club

YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shriver-Allison-Courtley-Weller-King Funeral Home for Nell R. Summers, 87, of 1216 Fifth Ave., who died Tuesday at Park Vista.
Mrs. Summers was born Aug. 4, 1913, in Youngstown, a daughter of Ernest and Edith Rose.
She owned and operated Summer-Dale Kennels in Liberty for 35 years. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and was past president of the Mahoning and Shenango Kennel Club.
Her husband, George R., whom she married in 1931, died in 1997.
She leaves two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A son, Richard H., and a brother, Jack Rose, are deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before the services Saturday at the funeral home.
