MAXINE M. HAWKINS, 83



LISBON -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, Salem, for Maxine M. Hawkins, 83, of 7443 Spillway Road, who died Wednesday night at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
Mrs. Hawkins was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Hanover Township, a daughter of Marion and Elsie Spidel Wilson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Phillips Christian Church of Salem, Order of Eastern Star in Hanoverton and Holiday Ramblers.
Her husband, Lester C., whom she married Sept. 5, 1936, died Sept. 2, 2000.
She leaves a son, Ronald of Salem; two daughters, Janet Jensen of Salem and Shirley Summer of Alliance; three sisters, Anniece Messer of Guilford Lake, Dorothy Zimmerman of Salem and Jeanette Lanning of North Canton; four brothers, Dick Wilson of Alliance, Russell and Tom Wilson, both of Beloit, and Donald Wilson of New Garden; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Ruth Stryffeler, is deceased, and a brother, Woodrow Wilson, died in infancy.
Friends may call from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the church building fund, 35459 Salem-Grange Road, Salem 44460.
