JAMES K. BEIL SR., 88 WW II vet; was owner of Beil Realty



POLAND -- Services will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Church for James K. Beil Sr., 88, of The Blackburn Home, formerly of Forest Lake Drive, Boardman, who died Thursday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Mr. Beil was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Youngstown, a son of Emil and Nellie Boggins Beil, and was a lifelong area resident.
He retired in 1982 as owner of Beil Realty and before that he was an employee of the City of Youngstown Municipal Airport. He was a veteran of World War II serving stateside in the Navy. He was a member of the church.
His wife, the former Dorothy Durkin, whom he married Feb. 12, 1934, died Nov. 5, 2000.
He leaves a daughter, Louise M. Kendall of Poland; a son, James K. Jr. of Poland; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Eileen Beil, died in infancy. Also, three brothers, Emil, William and Edwin, and two sisters, Nellie Comstock and Mary Thornton, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 1 hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
