JAMES HAROLD GILLESPIE, 66



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services were to be at 2 p.m. today at Howard Funeral Home for James Harold Gillespie, 66, of 1457 Forest View Drive, who died Saturday in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Mr. Gillespie was born April 5, 1934, in Hallsboro, N.C., a son of Belina Young, and came to the area four years ago from Whiteville, N.C.
He was a painter.
He attended Gospel Temple Baptist church.
Besides his wife of 30 years, the former Jenetta Carter, he leaves twin sons, Fredrick and Cedrick, both of Greensboro, N.C.; a stepson, the Rev. Curtis Carter of Monroe, N.C.; three stepdaughters, Betty Currie and Anita Kemp, both of Whiteville, and Sharon Carter of Youngstown; a sister, Bertha L. Jeans of New York City; and 18 grandchildren, including Tonya Carter of Youngstown and Rose M. Carter of Greensboro, whom he helped rear.
Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
