MARIAN WINIFRED SCOTT, 76

SALEM -- Services will be at 11 a.m. April 3 at Stark Memorial Funeral Home for Marian Winifred Scott, 76, of 316 Crestview Drive, Thomasville, N.C., formerly of Salem, who died Monday, apparently of a heart attack, in University Hospital, Little Rock, Ark.
Mrs. Scott, known as "Winnie," was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Salineville, a daughter of William A. and Dorothy Clark Tolson. She worked for 10 years in the pharmaceutical department at Perskey's of Salem. She also worked at the Timberlanes restaurant and as a secretary at Mullins Manufacturing Co.
She was a member of Lake Mount Church of Christ, Rogers, and was a 1943 Salem High School graduate.
Her husband, Franz N., whom she married Dec. 22, 1945, died April 26, 1985.
She leaves two sons, Brook of Phoenix and Dyer of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; a daughter, Loretta Walter of Thomasville; a brother, Clark Tolson of Salem; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A brother, Robert Tolson, is deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
