STRUTHERS -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church here for Leonard C. Emanuel, 93, of 134 Perry St., who died Tuesday afternoon in Boardman Community Care Center.
Mr. Emanuel was born Jan. 15, 1908, in Kane, Pa., a son of Danato and Micheline Picucci Emanuel. He came to the area as a child. He was a shipping clerk in the rod and wire department of Youngstown Sheet & amp; Tube Co. for 47 years.
He was a member of the church. He was a charter member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Struthers, where he managed bingo for many years. He was a drummer for the Chubby Parker Orchestra and belonged to several bowling leagues.
His wife, the former Catherine (Carrie) Moscar, whom he married Jan. 21, 1928, died Oct. 21, 1989.
He leaves three daughters, Mary Hudoba of Poland, Rita Fanelli, with whom he made his home, and Carole Circella of Simi Valley, Calif.; a foster daughter, Josephine Diana of Struthers; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Jenny Carnicello and Carrie Sirianni, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
