HATTIE B. ROBINSON, 76



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Tabernacle Baptist Church for Hattie B. Robinson, 76, of 820 Crandall Ave., who died Saturday at her home.
Mrs. Robinson was born Feb. 11, 1925, in Talledega, Ala., a daughter of Norman and Evie Lee McKenzie. She moved to this area in 1954.
She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Peter's Baptist Church since 1960. She had served as president of the church's deaconess board, president of the mothers board, president of the senior usher board, member of the willing workers, president of the kitchen committee, financial secretary, president of the pastor's aid group, treasurer of the senior usher board, member of the laymen department of the Eastern Ohio Baptist Association and a youth adviser.
Her husband, Dan Jr., whom she married in 1942, died Nov. 5, 1984.
She leaves two sons, Larry and Alphonso Robinson of Youngstown; two daughters, Audrey Nuby of Youngstown and April Livas of Columbus; three brothers, Douglas McKenzie of Oakland, Calif., Tonzel McKenzie of Birmingham, Ala., and Leon McKenzie of Atlanta; three sisters, Viola Jones and Gloria Bailey, both of Birmingham, and Lillie Eldridge of Vincent, Ala.; 15 grandchildren, including Taqwilla Robinson of Youngstown, whom she reared; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Jerry and LaMar Robinson, three sisters, her twin Mattie Wallace, and Estella Hicks and Lydia Kelley, a brother, Terrance Duncan, and a granddaughter are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Black & amp; Phillips Funeral Home.
