EARL BRYSON NELSON, 78
FARRELL, Pa. -- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Fatima Church for Earl Bryson Nelson, 78, of 708 Emerson Ave., who died early Sunday in UPMC Farrell Horizon.
Mr. Nelson was born June 25, 1922, in Cambridge, Ohio, a son of Owen and Mary Moore Nelson, and moved to Farrell in 1942. He attended Brown Hill High School in Cambridge. He retired in 1978 as a grain breaker operator at Sharon Steel's Farrell Plant after 32 years. He was a member of the church, its Holy Name Society and had been a Boy Scout leader for its troop. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, the former Anna M. Iacino, whom he married April 13, 1944, he leaves three daughters, Mary Lu Walter of Shenango Township, Beth Ann Triggiani of Hermitage and Pamela M. Gianoglio of Farrell; a son, Robert O. of Portsmouth, N.H.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Thurston and Joseph Nelson, and a sister, Catherine Nelson, are deceased.
Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
