KATHRYN E. O'HARA, 72



CANFIELD -- Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church in Canfield, for Kathryn E. O'Hara, 72, of 6899 W. Calla Road, who died Friday evening in Cleveland Clinic.
Mrs. O'Hara was born April 26, 1928, in Youngstown, a daughter of George and Catherine Nehry Groza, and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1946 graduate of South High School, she owned and operated J.P. O'Hara Construction & amp; Paving after her husband's death, before retiring in 1988. She previously co-owned A-1 Ambulance service in Boardman.
She was a member of the church and a former member of St. Joseph Church. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Austintown Fire Department.
Her husband, James P., whom she married Feb. 16, 1948, died Nov. 3, 1979.
She leaves three daughters, Charlene Monroe of Canfield, Kathy Vaughn of Brookfield and Joyce Dempsey of Austintown; a stepdaughter, Darlene Farnum of Fountain Valley, Calif.; a son, James P. Jr. of Austintown; two brothers, George Groza of Youngstown and Fred Groza of Boardman; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A stepdaughter, Sandy McNinch, and a grandson are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
