Curtis-Whinnery engagement is made known

LOWELLVILLE -- Mr. and Mrs. Stephan J. Curtis of Lowellville are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melody Carol Curtis of Xenia, to Joseph Patrick Wendell Whinnery of Auburn Hills, Mich., son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Whinnery of Columbus.
The couple are graduates of Cedarville College, she with a bachelor's degree in professional writing and he with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Miss Curtis is employed as administrative assistant at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Xenia.
Her fiance is an engineer with Valeo Automotive in Michigan.
The couple are planning their wedding for Aug. 11.
