Someplace Safe plans Fun Walk/Run

WARREN -- Someplace Safe Inc., Trumbull County's domestic violence shelter, will hold a Family Fun Walk/5K Run April 7.
Participants will sign in at the Log Cabin at Courthouse Square at 8:45 a.m. The one-mile walk will begin at 9:45, and the 5K run will begin at 10. Entry fees are $8 for the walk and $10 for the run for those pre-registered, and $10 for the walk and $12 for the run if registering the day of the event.
Special prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in various age groups and for top male and top female finishers.
The first 100 preregistered runners or walkers will receive a free tee shirt. Deadline for preregistration is April 2. Walkers/runners also may take pledges, and those with pledges of $25 or more will have the registration fee waived.
