HOWLAND -- Township trustees have rescheduled their Wednesday meeting from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. They have also changed the location of the meeting from the administration building at 169 Niles-Cortland Road to the Howland Glen Primary School gym at 8000 Bridle Lane N.E.
Township Administrator John Emanuel said the meeting location was changed to make it more convenient for residents living near Raglan Drive and Kings Graves Road to attend. He said some residents living in this area are concerned about proposed improvements on state Route 46, which will be discussed at the meeting.
Firefighters union
WARREN -- The International Association of Firefighters, Local 204, is having an informal meeting April 10 for all candidates seeking city council seats in the May 8 primary.
The meeting is the second of its kind sponsored by local firefighters, and will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room at the Fiesta By the River, 999 Mahoning Ave. N.W.
The meeting is intended to familiarize union members with candidates. It is not open to the public.
Meeting about nurses
YOUNGSTOWN -- A town hall meeting to discuss the nurse staffing problems in the health-care industry will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane.
The meeting is sponsored by Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association, which is affiliated with the Ohio Nurses Association. There also will be a free blood pressure screening during the session, said Jeannie Mulichak, YGDNA social committee chairwoman.
Program about Valley
YOUNGSTOWN -- Registrations are being accepted for Meet the Mahoning Valley, a one-day program for relocated executives and other professionals and their spouses. Participants will meet with colleagues to learn more about issues that affect business and life in the Mahoning Valley.
