YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rossi Bros. Funeral Home in Boardman for Frank Miles, 59, of 206 Pasadena Ave., who died of complications from heart surgery Friday afternoon in Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital.
Mr. Miles was born Sept. 28, 1941, in Person, Germany, a son of Frank and Margaret Matthews Miles, and came to the area as an infant. He was a security guard for WRTA and American Security Co. and was a deputy sheriff. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 141 and was president of the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association. He was also a free-lance cartoonist.
Besides his wife, the former Carol Love, whom he married April 29, 1991, he leaves four sons, Richard F. and Mark P., both of Youngstown, George J. Gleckler in Florida and Rex R. Holbrooke of Leesville, La.; four daughters, Morgen Mathews of Columbus, Raegen Miles and Shirley A. Lynn, both of Youngstown, and Teresa L. Haydu of Austintown; four brothers, Steve of Fayetteville, N.C., Joe of Albuquerque, N.M., David of Fredericksburg, Va., and Thomas of Supply, N.C.; two sisters, Margaret Miles of Fayetteville and Ruth Sieck of Hanover, Pa.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
