Evankovichs are honored on anniversary

COLUMBIANA -- A surprise limousine ride and dinner party were part of the 50th wedding anniversary celebration held for Mr. and Mrs. William E. Evankovich, 438 W. Garfield Road.
The party was held March 17 at Shakespeare's Restaurant and Pub in Ellwood City, Pa., by their family, Debra Jean and Gregory Repasky of New Springfield, Gary Evankovich of Poland, and Timothy and Ann Evankovich of Bowie, Md. There are also seven grandchildren in the family.
The former Charlotte Mellinger and Mr. Evankovich were united in marriage March 10, 1951, at North Lima Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Mrs. Evankovich was a pharmacy clerk and bookkeeper at North Lima Pharmacy, which was owned and operated by her husband from 1970 to 1988. The couple still work part time at the pharmacy.
They are members of Calvary United Methodist Church, and he is also a member of Beaver Ruritan, Masonic Lodge 416 of East Palestine and the Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown.
The couple also took an anni cruise to Hawaii to celebrate the occasion.
