YOUNGSTOWN -- Cherie Corey and Cipriano Jasso III were united in marriage by the Rev. Frank Lehnerd during a 2 p.m. ceremony Feb. 24 at St. Edward Church.
The daughter of Dennis J. and Cheryl Ann Corey, 1816 Ridgelawn Ave., and son of Cipriano and Sally Jasso of Indio, Calif., were honored at a reception at the Italian-American Veterans Centre before leaving on a honeymoon cruise to Mexico.
The bride's sleeveless gown was embellished with seed pearls and lace and featured a full skirt that swept into a cathedral train.
Burgundy gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Kathryn Corey, and the bridesmaids, Amy Corey, her sister; Jennipher Carter, her cousin; Carol Moschella, her aunt; and Angela Pfender. Megan Baltes, the junior bridesmaid, and Katelyn Baltes, flower girl, are cousins of the bride.
Steve Jasso was his brother's best man, and groomsmen were Eric Ceja, the groom's cousin; Matthew Baltes, the bride's cousin; Steve Manley; and David Ciolli. The groom's son, Brandon Jasso, was junior groomsman, and the bride's cousin, Ryan Burns, was ring bearer.
The couple live at 850 E. Vista Chino Road, Palm Springs, Calif.
The bride is pursuing a degree in nursing at the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, Calif. The groom, a business partner with Southern California Communication in Palm Desert, is pursuing a degree in telecommunications at DeVry Institute in Long Beach, Calif.
