SHARON -- Butler, Wick & amp; Co. has hired James Hart as an investment broker, working in the firm's Sharon office. Hart has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Youngstown State University and has 20 years' experience in the securities industry. He lives in Hermitage.
ENGINEERING
NORTH JACKSON -- Mark Von Schwarz, a North Jackson native, has been promoted to vice president of engineering for Raytheon's Aircraft Integration Systems, responsible for managing the company's engineering staff in Greenville and Waco, Texas and in Lexington, Kentucky. He had been director of aeronautical engineering and director of systems engineering. Now living in Commerce, Texas, Von Schwarz served in the U.S. Army Security Agency and was an honor graduate of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center. He has degrees in physics and mathematics from East Texas State University.
CLEVELAND -- Marine Mechanical Corp., a supplier of electro-mechanical systems to the U.S. Navy, has promoted Mary Pat Salomone to president and chief executive. Salomone has 20 years of professional engineering experience and had been vice president of strategic planning for the company. She has a bachelor's degree in engineering from Youngstown State University and a master's degree in business administration from Baldwin Wallace College.
The company also promoted David Chrencik to executive vice president for operations. He had been vice president of operations.
BANKING
YOUNGSTOWN -- Home Savings and Loan is announcing two hirings and one promotion. Michael Diasio was named vice president of commercial lending for the bank's north central division, Elmer Berstling was hired as a branch sales manager of the Liberty office, and Carla Medovich was promoted to assistant vice president, branch sales manager, of the Arrowhead office. Diasio has over 15 years of banking experience and lives in Solon. Berstling held several positions with Key Bank before joining Home Savings and lives in Hubbard. Medovich has been with the bank since 1984 and had been Service Plus Administrator for its company-wide customer service training program. She lives in Austintown.

AUSTINTOWN -- Michelle Schafer has been promoted to public relations assistant at Marcus Thomas of Cleveland. She had been studio designer in the new media group and account coordinator in the public relations group. She is a graduate of ITT Technical School and a Berlin Center resident.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Allison Heller of East Palestine has joined Van Fossan & amp; Associates as a graphic and Web designer. She had worked at Gocom Interactive Media Services. She earned a bachelor's degree of fine arts in graphic design from Youngstown State University.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Doug Love has been promoted to residence director of Alterra Sterling House in Youngstown. He had been community service representative for Northeast Ohio.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Cambridge Home Health Care has promoted Jeannie Schmidt of Youngstown to senior care specialist. She had been a home health aide.
TELEMARKETING
AUSTINTOWN -- InfoCision Management Corp. has hired Tracy Cannell as a program supervisor in its operations department in Austintown. Cannell has a bachelor's degree in sociology from Youngstown State University. The company also promoted Jay Cave to program supervisor in its Austintown commercial call center. He had been a trainer and a communicator with the company.
