BERNADINE MARY MATHEWS, 86 Operated Liberty Bail Bonding Agency

YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eells-Leggett Funeral Home in Lisbon for Bernadine Mary Mathews, 86, of 46 Miltrace St., who died Friday afternoon in Alterra Sterling House of Salem after a brief illness.
Ms. Mathews was born July 27, 1914, in Cameron, W.Va., a daughter of George W. and Etta Turner Mathews. She came to Youngstown from Cleveland in 1950. She owned and operated Liberty Bail Bonding Agency for 25 years before retiring in 1975.
She leaves a son, Ronald D. Strait of Lisbon; three granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and her companion of 40 years, Harry Huffman of Youngstown.
Two sisters, Wilda Peitrafasse and her twin, Bernice Martin, and a brother, George Mathews, are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
