YOUNGSTOWN -- St. Elizabeth Health Center is the site for a national town meeting, "Expanding Health Coverage -- Make it America's Priority," at noon Monday in Finnegan Auditorium.
The program will feature a live satellite broadcast moderated by PBS health correspondent Susan Dentzer followed by a local town meeting. The program is free.
Donation for equipment
HOWLAND -- The board of education has accepted a $13,000 donation from the North Road PTO to buy playground equipment for the North Road Intermediate School. Included will be items for an obstacle course. Installation will start this summer and will be completed before fall.
Rescue Mission's grant
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Ruth H. Beecher Foundation has awarded a $1,500 grant to the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. It will be used to run electricity to a new walk-in freezer and a cooler.
