SUE JEREK YURICH, 89



POLAND -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers, for Sue Jerek Yurich, 89, of 6695 Roberto Place Drive No. 17, formerly of Spring Street, Struthers, who died Thursday evening in Boardman Community Care Center, where she had been a patient for eight days.
Mrs. Yurich was born Dec. 18, 1911, in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, a daughter of Gabriel and Anna Millecivich Bonish. She came to the United States and Hillsville, Pa., as a child, moved to Struthers in 1931, and to Poland in 1966.
During World War II, she was a cleaning matron for Sharon Steel. She worked in the receiving department of Strouss-Hirshberg for many years and was a matron for St. Nicholas schools, before retiring in 1968.
She was a member of the church and its Altar & amp; Rosary Society. She was also a member of Struthers S.N.P.J. Lodge 277 for 60 years.
She leaves a daughter, Donna Jerek, with whom she made her home; a son, John of Youngstown; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Four sisters, Rose Tokich Basic, Mary Ragan, Kay Bonish and Anne Tama, and two brothers, Mike and John Bonish, are deceased. A brother, Gabriel Bonish, died in infancy.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
