JOHN DEMICHELA, 83



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Christine Church for John DeMichela, 83, of 2470 Arrowae Drive, who died Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter.
Mr. DeMichela was born May 7, 1917, in Rillton, Pa., a son of Guy and Maria Bonetto DeMichela, and came to the area in 1938.
He worked for Berman Electric for 20 years and for Raymond Concrete and Pile and retired in 1982.
He was a member of the church, was member of the Booster clubs of St. Christine and Cardinal Mooney high schools, and equipment manager of St. Christine's football team in the 1970s and '80s. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a 1934 graduate of Sewickley High School.
His wife, the former Ethel Kossick, whom he married in 1939, died Nov. 5, 1974.
He leaves a daughter, Patricia Bermann of Youngstown; a sister, Katherine Russin of Rillton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Dee Benko, and a brother, Joseph DeMichela, are deceased.
