GLENNA PEARLY CARPENTER, 89 Ran the Bloomfield Livestock Auction



NORTH BLOOMFIELD -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at McFarland & amp; Son Funeral Home, Warren, for Glenna Pearly Carpenter, 89, of 8691 state Route 45, who died Thursday night at home.
Mrs. Carpenter was born July 24, 1911, in Spokane, Trumbull County, a daughter of Joseph W. and MaudHayes Barb, and had lived here 67 years.
She and her husband operated the Bloomfield Livestock Auction and Glenn-Yale Farms in North Bloomfield.
A homemaker, she was a past president of Bloomfield Schools PTA. She also was past worthy matron of Alpha Chapter 44 Order of Eastern Star in West Farmington, past noble grand of Mesopotamia Rebekah Lodge 328, and was a member of North Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Yale T., whom she married July 30, 1932, died April 27, 1996.
She leaves two sons, Earl R. of Middlefield and Harold T. of North Bloomfield; a daughter, Ja Nice McCoy of Kettering, Ohio; three sisters, Bertha Anderson of Bristolville, Irma Bailing of Struthers and Hazel Dugan of Warren; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, including Clara Baker, are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
