ASSOCIATIONS
XMill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6 p.m. April 10 at Colonial Catering, Lisbon Street, Canfield. A Chinese auction will be held at 2 p.m. April 1 at St. Matthias Church, Shady Run Road. Tickets are $4 at the door.
XTri-County Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet for dinner at 6:30 p.m. April 3 at the Saxon Club in Austintown. The menu will be baked ham or broiled fish, sweet potatoes, salad and dessert. XLe Cercle Francais will hold its a spring banquet April 5 at the Saxon Club Pavilion in Austintown. A reception and social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30. XOhio Cultural Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. April 2 for "Reflections on the Millennium in the Slavic Tradition" at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church, Youngstown. Speaker will be Michael Kurilla, and cultural enrichment will be provided by Betty Bannon and her committee. The meal will feature cream of mushroom soup, baked ham, holupki, haluski, baba, chren, paska and koch. Cost is $11 for paid members and $15 for nonmembers. XPoland Extension Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Poland Presbyterian Church for a workshop on knitting and crocheting. Members are reminded to take a lunch and an item for show and tell. Tickets for the achievement day event will be available for $6.75.
XYoungstown Chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute will sponsor a memorial tribute luncheon honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 1p.m. April 7 at the Mahoning Country Club. Speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Morris W. Lee of Third Baptist Church. Three scholarships also will be awarded to Youngstown students in memory of James Monroe Tillman. LEAGUES
XGFWC/OFWC Boardman-Poland Junior Women's League will meet at 7 p.m. April 2 at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Township Park. The guest speakers will be Dr. Elena Rossi and Ken Pavalko from the Touched by Nathan Foundation. Baby items will be collected for the crib raffle, and officers will be elected. Plans will be reviewed for the fashion show to be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Antone's Banquet Center. Dues are to be paid by April 15.
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XDiocesan Ladies of Charity will meet April 2 at St. Edward Hall after the 12:10 p.m. Mass. Plans will be completed for the group's Tea for Green scheduled for May 7. The executive board will meet at 11:15 a.m.
XLadies Altar Guild of St. John's Lutheran Church, will meet for a tour and luncheon at 11:30 a.m. April 5 at the Davis Education and Visitors Center of Fellows Riverside Gardens. Reservations should be made with Margie Tomo.
SINGLES
XCatholic Alumni Club will attend the 7 p.m. service Friday for the Stations of the Cross at St. John the Baptist Church in Campbell. Afterward members will stop at Bobby D's. For information call (330) 755-0113.
