MARGARET L. RISTICH, 90

CANFIELD -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Anstrom-Velker Funeral Home for Margaret L. Ristich, 90, of 3348 Darbyshire Drive, who died Wednesday evening in Forum Health Northside Medical Center, Youngstown.
Mrs. Ristich was born April 18, 1910, in Youngstown, a daughter of Fred and Bernadette Peterson Johnson.
She was a registered nurse for the Youngstown Hospital Association and was instrumental and setting up Northside Hospital before it opened.
She graduated in 1928 from South High School and in 1931 from the Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing, and was also a private duty nurse. She retired in 1976.
She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association and First Covenant Church.
Her husband, William P., whom she married May 5, 1938, died Sept. 3, 1994.
She leaves a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Ristich of Canfield, with whom she made her home for many years; and three granddaughters whom she helped rear, Michele Gatts and Melanie Fromel, both of Austintown, and Marsha Ristich of Canfield.
A son, Milan, is deceased.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
