KENNIE P. ROWAN, 90 Owned Kennie's Barber Shop in Champion



WARREN -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home for Kennie P. Rowan, 90, of 209 B Drive N.E., who died Wednesday afternoon in Horizon Village Nursing Center after a short illness.
Mr. Rowan was born April 27, 1910, in Warren, a son of Frank and Ann McGlynn Rowan, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a barber for 60 years, owning Kennie's Barber Shop in Champion. A World War II Army veteran who served in the 43rd Division, he was a life member of the VFW and a member of American Legion Post 1090 in Warren. He attended Champion Presbyterian Church.
His wife, the former Barbara Ann Walker, died Aug. 7, 1992.
He leaves a son, Frank M. of Champion; two daughters, Virginia Saltzman of Twin Lakes, Miss., and Gloria Goldner of Warren; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Five brothers, five sisters and two grandsons are deceased.
Friends may call one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
