FLORENCE MARIE DYKE, 86



EAST PALESTINE -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home for Florence Marie Dyke, 86, of 101 Thomas St., who died Wednesday night at home after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Dyke was born June 16, 1914, in Fredericktown, Ohio, a daughter of Harry and Annie Smith Green, and lived in this area all of her life.
She was secretary/treasurer of Columbiana Coach Line, East Palestine, for 39 years, retiring in 1985, and was a member of the American Bus Association.
Her husband, Clayton C., whom she married Nov. 8, 1932, died Oct. 3, 1998.
She leaves two daughters, Carol Smith of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Arlene Timmins of Darlington, Pa.; a son, Clayton L. of East Palestine; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A sister, Deanie Schukert; two brothers, Howard and Ray Green; and a great-granddaughter are deceased.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Contributions may be made to East Palestine EMS or Hospice of the Valley.
