POLAND -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church for Chris A. Black, 43, of 709 N. Park St., Bellefontaine, formerly of Poland, who was killed Wednesday morning when the car she was driving was struck by a freight train at a railroad crossing on Township Road 217, just north of Bellefontaine.
Miss Black was born Nov. 12, 1957, in Poland, a daughter of Howard F. and Alice Lombard Black.
A 1976 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, she received a degree in criminal justice from Kent State University in 1980. She was a probation officer with the Logan County Juvenile Justice System for 191/2 years, and was a member of the Logan County Mental Health Board.
Besides her parents of Poland, she leaves a brother, Jim of Tupelo, Miss.; and two sisters, Melinda Daring of Bellefontaine and Amy Wheeler of Longwood, Fla.
Friends may call two hours before the service in the church.
