LAWRENCE A. STRUBLE JR., 63



CHAMPION -- Services will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in St. John's Orthodox Church for Lawrence A. Struble Jr., 63, of 380 Raymond Ave. N.W., who died Tuesday night in St. Joseph Health Center, Warren, after a long illness.
Mr. Struble was born Oct. 28, 1937, in Uniontown, Pa., a son of Lawrence A. and Hazel Barnhart Struble Sr.
He graduated in 1955 from German Township High School and in 1959 from the Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., with the rank of second lieutenant. He was a career officer with the Army Signal Corps and retired with the rank of captain. He was a fixed-wing and helicopter pilot.
He was a member of the church and a former member of its council. He also was an assistant Boy Scout den leader, belonged to the U.S. Chess Club and was a ham radio operator and precinct committeeman.He leaves his wife, the former Pauline DeKatch, whom he married June 6, 1959; two daughters, Diane Montgomery of Charleston, S.C., and Mary Griffin of Canfield; and six grandchildren.
A brother, Jacob, is deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Peter Rossi & amp; Son Memorial Chapel, Warren, where a Panchida service will be at 7 p.m. Friends also may call 45 minutes before the service Saturday in the church.
