Students to be honored
LIBERTY -- The Mahoning Valley Women's Political Caucus will honor area students who performed in the recent Ohio High School Speech League state tournament in which Austintown Fitch, Boardman and Cardinal Mooney high schools finished second, third and fourth in the team standings.
The Youngstown District, which includes Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, was ranked fourth in the nation this year.
The salute begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the Holiday Inn MetroPlex and will feature top performances of the season. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
