CANFIELD CITY
March 13
Drugs: A drug search was conducted at Canfield High School at the request of two assistant principals after a marijuana-like odor was detected in the freshman hallway. A drug-sniffing dog was brought in; the animal found a makeshift marijuana pipe and the suspected residue in the trunk of a vehicle. Some lockers also were found to have a strong smell of suspected marijuana. Police were to continue their investigation.
March 14
Arrest: Police arrested a 29-year-old Leavittsburg man on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana. After a routine traffic stop, police reportedly found a pipe and quantities of the suspected drug in his possession.
Theft: A Canfield woman was charged with stealing $131 in groceries from Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St.
AUSTINTOWN
March 12
Burglary: Firearms and a computer disk for a video game were reported stolen from a New Road home.
Theft: A citizens band radio, a microwave oven and a refrigerator were reported stolen from Fuel Mart, 5301 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: Narcotics and cash were reported stolen from a North Kimberly Avenue home.
Theft: A UPS delivery was reported stolen from an Innwood Drive home.
Theft: A 2001 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was reported stolen from a garage at a DeHoff Drive home.
March 13
Theft: Police said a man stole $110 from the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
March 14
Theft: Nineteen compact discs, cigarettes and money were reported stolen from an auto parked on Paisley Street.
Theft: Police said someone took $120 from a West Liberty Street home.
Burglary: The rear door of a South Turner Road home was forced open; a television and tools were taken.
Arrest: Police arrested two men and charged them with a theft from Carter Lumber, 3710 Mahoning Ave.
Auto theft: Someone stole a 1984 Chevrolet truck from the parking lot at Bits, Bytes & amp; Pieces Computers, 3730 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damage: Someone poured oil over a vehicle at Wedgewood Lanes, 1741 S. Raccoon Road.
March 15
Auto theft: Someone stole a 1986 Chevrolet Caprice four-door from Seventy-Six Drive.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged the windshield of a car parked on Mahoning Avenue.
Animal call: Police destroyed a sick raccoon found on Central Avenue.
Theft: Someone took a briefcase from a vehicle parked on South Raccoon Road.
March 16
Criminal damage: Someone pried open the rear overhead door at the Stereo Connection/Quick Page, 5474 Mahoning Avenue.
Criminal damage: Someone broke out the window of a car parked at The Gatsby, 54 Westchester Drive.
March 17
Criminal damage: Someone poured an unidentified liquid into the gas tank of a four-wheel vehicle parked on Riblett Road.
Animal call: Police destroyed a sick raccoon found on Burgett Road.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged the windshield of a vehicle parked on Fox Chase.
Theft: Someone took two televisions and a videocassette recorder from Blake's Mini Storage, 2024 S. Raccoon Road.
