MARTHA FREEMAN, 75

YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Reed's Chapel A.M.E. Church for Martha Freeman, 75, of 1729 Josephine St., who died Saturday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mrs. Freeman was born March 27, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of Clement and Georgia Winfield Harvey Sr., and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a member of the church, where she served on the nurse's guild, usher board, missionary society and stewardess board. She was a 1942 Scienceville High School graduate.
Her husband, Jessie L. Sr., whom she married Sept. 20, 1947, died June 13, 1997.
She leaves a daughter, Monica Freeman at home; a brother, Clement Harvey Jr. of Youngstown; and four grandchildren.
A son, Jessie Jr.; and two sisters, Sarah Butler and Fannie Harvey, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Home and one hour before services Thursday in the church.
