GLADYS MAY JENNINGS, 96 Owned Jennings Steel Manufacturing
MINERAL RIDGE -- Private services will be Friday at Madasz Funeral Home, Brookfield, for Gladys May Jennings, 96, of Glenn View Manor, who died Tuesday night at the nursing home.
Mrs. Jennings was born May 28, 1904, in Niles, a daughter of Frank and Catherine Andersen Cowdery, and lived in Masury most of her life.
She graduated from Niles Central High School and Kent Normal School, and was owner and operator, with her husband, of Jennings Steel Manufacturing in Masury from 1933 to 1976. She was a member of Masury United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Samuel A., whom she married in 1923, died in 1974.
She leaves three daughters, June Gibson of Hubbard, Beverly Taylor of Jupiter, Fla., and Pamela Grell of Pulaski; a sister, Vernys John of Niles; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Two daughters, Shirley Peters and Audrey Jennings, are deceased.
