WILBERT A. SIMCOX, 78
AUSTINTOWN -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown, for Wilbert A. Simcox, 78, of 277 Westminster Ave., who died Sunday in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Simcox was born June 3, 1922, in Struthers, a son of Alfred and Ethel Bortz Simcox.
He was a bundler for Hynes Steel, and he retired in 1989. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He served in the Army during World War II.
Besides his wife, the former Ernestine Fogle, whom he married Aug. 25, 1944, he leaves a son, Chip of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Celesta Dennison of Austintown, Stephanie Simcox of Howland and Margaret Simcox of Austintown; a sister, Dorothy Mullan in Alabama; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Two brothers, Harry and Louis, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to American Lung Association.
