AUSTINTOWN --Three 14-year-olds have confessed vandalizing nine school buses, delaying the start of school by two hours here Monday.
Their names were given to police by school officials, said Chief Gordon Ellis.
The cost of repairs is estimated in the thousands of dollars. The buses were in a fenced lot behind Austintown Middle School.
The case will be referred to the county's juvenile prosecutor, who will decide what charges will be filed, Ellis said.
Center open house
GIRARD -- An open house at the Girard Justice Center is March 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The $4.85 million center at 100 N. Market St. opened in November. There will be tours and refreshments.
