ANNA HOMSEY KOMISIN, 80



SHARPSVILLE, Pa. -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Leipheimer-Tomon Funeral Home in Farrell and at 9:30 a.m. in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel for Anna Homsey Komisin, 80, of Indian Creek Nursing Center, formerly of Sharpsville, who died Monday morning at her residence.
Mrs. Komisin was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Mary Kramer Homsey.
She was employed at Daffin's Candy in Sharon and had made Mae West Life Preservers during World War II. She was a member of St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church. She was an active volunteer with the Boy and Girl scouts and Sharpsville Band Boosters and sewed with the Sharon General Hospital Auxiliary.
Her husband, Michael, whom she married in 1947, died Sept. 9, 1991.
She leaves a daughter, Natalie Wojtkiewicz of Ellwood City; a son, Michael of Neshannock Township; a sister, Helen Vansuch of Orange, Calif.; a brother, Frank Homsey of Youngstown; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Two brothers, Joe and Mike Homsey, and a sister, Mary Sklepko, are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a prayer service will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
