Terrorists' victim will be speaker at neurological event

LIBERTY -- Jackie Pflug, who was shot in the head during a terrorist attack on the airplane she was taking to Greece in 1985, will be the keynote speaker at a March 31 seminar on neurological issues for women.
Reservations for the seminar, from 7:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, can be made before Saturday by contacting the Epilepsy Foundation at (330) 799-6777.
The cost is $10, and continuing education credits are offered for nurses, social workers and counselors for $35.
Ms. Pflug will talk about being shot in the head, thrown to the tarmac and left for dead for five hours. She'll explain how she survived and dealt with the neurological problems that developed because of the shooting.
The seminar is sponsored by the Epilepsy Foundation, Help Hot Line and Eastern Ohio Area Health Network.
