Program emphasizes safe solutions
WARREN -- Trumbull County Children Services will hold a program, "Caring Safely for Kids: Peaceful Intervention," from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 5, at the Warren G. Harding High School cafeteria.
Speakers will be Malcolm Smith, educator, consultant and author with 20 years of experience in the field of violence prevention, and Redge Green, who was shot by a neighbor and permanently disabled.
Smith speaks annually to 6,000 educators, parents, social workers and law enforcement officers.
Green speaks to youth on how to solve conflict, build healthy relationships, recognize when friends need help and use of communications in dealing with anger and rage.
