HOMER SCOTT ELBERTY, 84
SOUTH PYMATUNING, Pa. -- Services are private for Homer Scott Elberty, 83, of 2800 Robertson Road, South Pymatuning Township, who died Saturday morning in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, Pa., after a short illness.
Mr. Elberty was born July 5, 1916, in Farrell, a son of John L. and Bessie E. Peth Elberty.
He was a 1934 graduate of Farrell High School, a member of Hickory United Methodist Church in Hermitage, Pa., and served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II.
He was a tinsmith at Westinghouse for 40 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of Farrell VFW Post 5286, a 33rd-degree mason, and a member of Sharon Masonic Lodge 668.
He leaves his wife, the former Anna M. Kachila, whom he married Dec. 23, 1950; a daughter, Lorrie Elberty of California; a son, Homer T. of Brookfield; a sister, Elizabeth Fennell of California; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Patricia Dias; two sisters, Mazie Bobbie and Wilma Miller; and two brothers, Thomas L. and Harry, are deceased.
