Family dinner party held Saturday to honor Todds on 50th anniversary

CANFIELD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Todd, 10219 New Buffalo Road, was celebrated March 17 during a family dinner party that took place at The Gatsby in Austintown.
The couple are the parents of Marjorie Brown of North Lima and Amy Clow of Columbiana, and they have six grandchildren.
The former Harriett Lutz and Mr. Todd were united in marriage March 17, 1951, at First Presbyterian Church in Mansfield. They are members of Paradise United Church of Christ.
Prior to retiring in 1995, Mrs. Todd was a secretary with the Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmentally Disabled.
Mr. Todd retired in 1994 from E.R. Advanced Ceramics in East Palestine, where he was a controller. He is a past president of Boardman and East Palestine Rotary clubs and is a registered track official with the Ohio High School Athletic Association and Greater Youngstown Track Officials Association. He has worked on local and state track and cross country meets for 30 years. He is also a director of officials for the Special Olympics state games in Columbus.
