YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Washington Funeral Home for Willie R. Stringfield Jr., 60, of 163 W. LaClede Ave., who was dead on arrival Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Health Center after apparently suffering a heart attack at home. The Mahoning County coroner's office is investigating.
Mr. Stringfield, who was known as "Big Willie," was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Newport News, Va., a son of Willie R. and Betsy L. Warren Stringfield.
He had worked in the maintenance department at Eastway Terrace and had been a Mason.
He leaves two daughters, Tina Riddick of Waverly, Va., and Aubrey Stringfield at home; a son, Breon Stringfield at home; a brother, Richard at home; and three grandchildren.
Eleven brothers are deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before services at the funeral home.
