H. CLARK HIVICK, 86



WARREN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. James Catholic Church for H. Clark Hivick, 86, of 259 Perkinswood N.E., who died Thursday in Community Skilled Nursing Home after a long illness.
Mr. Hivick was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Brookville, Pa., a son of Henry E. and Anna G. Clark Hivick, and lived in this area since 1935.
He retired as a rougher in 1977 from Republic Steel Corp., where he worked 40 years. He was a member of the church, a life member of Warren VFW, and a member of the Purple Heart Club and Warren Eagles. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a medic, and received a Purple Heart.
His first wife, the former Florence Carrier, whom he married June 26, 1949, died Sept. 13, 1984.
Besides his wife, the former Irene Vargo, whom he married Nov. 7, 1987, he leaves three sons, James of Warren, Richard of Cortland and William of Stow; a stepson, Stephen Vargo of Mogadore, Ohio; a sister, Florence Barber of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.
Two sisters, Eileen Hivick and Mary Busha, and a brother, James, are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Roberts-Clark Memorial Home.
