ARMAND B. MACALI, 83
NILES -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Joseph Rossi Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Niles, for Armand B. Macali, 83, of 133 Fulton St., who died Friday morning in St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
Mr. Macali was born Feb. 3, 1918, in Niles, a son of Ralph and Angeline Scarnecchia Macali.
From 1945 to 1948, he delivered groceries to homes for Ducks, Raftry and Trimbur grocery stores and drove a cab for Mango Cab Co. In 1948, he went to work for his brothers when they opened the Macali Market on Robbins Avenue, where he was store manager.
He served in the Army during World War II, and was a member of the church.
He leaves two brothers, Gilbert and Palmer, and two sisters, Eleanor Hackett and Norma Entler, all of Niles.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the church Tuition Angel Fund and the McKinley Memorial Library Fund, in care of the funeral home.
