MARCELLUS C. ROILAND, 87
BOARDMAN -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in St. Dominic Church, Youngstown, for Marcellus C. Roiland, 87, of 4232 Southern Blvd., who died Monday evening at home.
Mr. Roiland was born April 14, 1913, in Westby, Wis., a son of Joseph and Olga Nierson Roiland. He retired in 1968 from the collection department of the Internal Revenue Service, where he had worked 21 years.
He previously worked in Baltimore for the U.S. Treasury Department's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. He also was a self-employed tax preparer from 1968 to 1978.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
His wife, the former Eugenia Chomo, whom he married May 13, 1941, died Feb. 17, 1988.
He leaves three sons, Richard of Poland, Mark of Manteca, Calif., and Philip of Coco Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Harvey in Wisconsin and Jarvis in Minnesota; a sister, Orive Flaten in Wisconsin; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A sister, Myra Scott, is deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
