DAVID H. JONES, 83

SOUTHINGTON -- Services will be at noon Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Warren, for David H. Jones, 83, of 4216 Barclay-Messerly Road, who died of lung cancer Wednesday morning at home.
Mr. Jones was born Nov. 24, 1917, in Warren, a son of George and Nettie Ridenour Jones, and was a lifelong area resident. He worked for Republic Steel Corp. for 34 years before retiring in 1979.
He was a member of Parkman Road Church of Christ and Winnebago Club of Ohio. He was a World War II Army veteran and received the Purple Heart.
Besides his wife, the former Genevieve Morgan, whom he married Dec. 10, 1945, he leaves a son, Arthur D. of Newton Falls; a daughter, Karen L. Duncan of Southington; a brother, Raymond of Wickliffe, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A brother, George A., is deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
