City increases patrols
NILES -- Police will conduct traffic safety enforcement over the St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Additional units will patrol all city roads, targeting impaired drivers, police said.
Two appointed to board
YOUNGSTOWN -- Two people have been appointed to the Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
Joe Ignazio and Thomas Mathews, both of Boardman, replace Leona Crogan and Loren Popio, who have stepped down.
Ignazio is vice president of benefits administration with The Insurance Center of Warren. Thomas is a retired UPS worker employed by Banker's Life & amp; Casualty Co., Canfield.
