REV. ALLEN D. CAYTEN, 75 Was a minister at Truth Tabernacle



NILES -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Apostolic Pentecostal Church, DeForest Road, Warren, for the Rev. Allen D. Cayten, 75, of 983 W. Third St., who died of heart failure early Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Rev. Cayten was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Longville, La., a son of Ander and Sarah Partin Cayten, and moved to Niles in 1987. He was a minister at Truth Tabernacle in Niles for three years, and had also served in many other churches throughout the United States for 55 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the church.
Besides his wife, the former Mona Stevens, whom he married Feb. 15, 1946, he leaves four daughters, Sally Jo Wester of Dallas, Texas, Geneva Sue Cheeks of Warren, Sonya J. Spychalski of Michigan City, Ind., and Rebecca L. Lambert of South Bend, Ind.; five sons, Vernon L. of Dallas, Timothy A. of Joliet, Ill., John M. of Niles, Michael W. of Warren, Mich., and David A. of South Bend; four sisters, MaryJane Hartsfield, Sarah Melton, Gaybrella Spurgon and Sue Birch, all of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a brother, Jack Cayten of Hattiesburg; 34 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A brother, John E., is deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the church.
