VIRGINIA A. WELKER, 84



NEWTON FALLS -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Charles Church, both in Boardman, for Virginia A. Welker, 84, of 2200 Milton Blvd., formerly of Claybourne Avenue, Youngstown, who died Thursday afternoon at Laurie Ann Nursing Home, Newton Falls.
Mrs. Welker was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Youngstown, a daughter of Walter and Mary Ann Kazmerski. She was an elevator operator for Strouss-Hirshberg Department Store in downtown Youngstown, worked as a demonstrator for the Kraft Co., and was a receptionist for the Ursuline Motherhouse.
She was a member of the church.
Her husband, Michael E., whom she married Aug. 23, 1943, died Sept. 13, 1960.
She leaves two daughters, Charlene Ann Gurlea of Sacosa, Fla., and Patricia Ann Danch of Berlin Center; three sisters, Marie Fineran of Poland and Helen Venrose and Stephanie Barvitski, both of Struthers; a brother, Edward Kalmers of Conneaut, Ohio; six grandchildren; and a great- grandchild.
Two brothers, Raymond Kalmer and John Kazmerski, and two sisters, Violet Hallas and Stella Kazmerski, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
