YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at McCauley Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Edward Church for Lillian May Witt, 96, of 650 S. Meridian Road, formerly of Ohio Avenue, who died Sunday evening at Meridian Arms Living Center.
Mrs. Witt was born May 5, 1904, in Star Junction, Pa., a daughter of John P. and Mary Agnes Shumar Keffer, and moved to the area in 1920.
She was a secretary for Ohio Edison. A homemaker, she was a member of the church and its Goodtimers, and the Youngstown Power Squadron and Ursuline Parent Teachers Association. She had attended Youngstown College.
Her husband, Alvy T. Witt, whom she married June 20, 1927, died March 10, 1978.
She leaves three daughters, Mary Catherine Sanders of Youngstown, Maureen Carlon of Atlanta, Ga., and Gloria Titus of Phoenix, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Alva May Witt, a son, Robert W., and three sisters, Tryllis Ritenour, Anna Mae Elliott and Mildred Rosine, are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
