YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Road, for Ruth G. Dingledy, 89, of 717 Neil Ave., Columbus, formerly of Dover Road, Youngstown, who died Saturday evening in Westminster-Turber Retirement Community, Columbus.
Mrs. Dingledy was born Dec. 9, 1911, in Kane, Pa., a daughter of Saul and Lulu Croasmun Johnson, and moved to Youngstown as a child. She worked as a bookkeeper for Mahoning National Bank in the 1930s.
She was a 1930 South High School graduate and was a lifelong member of the Calvary Baptist Church and its Women's Missionary Circle.
Her husband, Carl P. Jr., whom she married Oct. 28, 1937, died Sept. 20, 1998.
She leaves two sons, Atty. Jay R. of Columbus and Carl P. of Houston, and three grandchildren.
Two sisters, Annabel Hudak and Mary Gamble, and a brother, Russell Johnson, are deceased.
